To say Islam means “peace” and to “pray towards Mecca” as the headlines are blaring. But wait a minute. Isn’t Jerusalem east of Turkey also? Maybe he was signifying that he prays toward Israel, regecting Mecca? Or maybe he didn’t have a compass with him and wanted to pray west, toward Rome. Or maybe he wasn’t praying; he was dosing.
